Ragz is a singer/sonwriter born and raised in a land coloured by northern lights and fairytale creatures.
With her rich, sustained voice, skilled musicianship and gorgeous,
occasionally dark, tunes, Ragz has gained many fans and favourable
comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Feist and even Jeff Buckley,
amongst others.
She has cemented herself into the musical folklore of her current home town
and developed her craft on stages across the UK, supporting the likes of
Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, Wild Beasts, Noah and the Whale, Karima Francis, David Ford and Ian McNabb.

Yeah I saw him yeaaaars ago supporting Tegan and Sara in London. I must have been 16, and I haven't seen him since. I really want to try and get down there but my friend is visiting so it depends on what she wants to do. I'll try my best :)
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Thanks for the kind comments Ragz - I think the photographic moments belong to the performer. If there is anything there, then I'm not the one that makes it; I can only do my best not to lose it.
As for Todd - well it's not surprising that you've not heard of him. He only did his first live gig in London a very few months ago (before that it was high school). He's a big fan of musicianship - Dave Matthews and people like that, and something of a perfectionist. He's got a real talent. I'm not sure what he'll do with it, but it's always nice to come across people like that.
Nb. there are a couple of live clips of Todd on my YouTube pages plus a whole bunch of Karima and much else. However, for something completely different have a look at Anna Phoebe & Byron Johnston. It's purely instrumental, but some brilliant stuff and having been there when they first met, I have a bit of an interest. Anna is something of a force of nature.
Hi Ragz - lovely to say hello on Monday. You looked and sounded beautiful.

I think I mentioned a guy called Todd Kuffner to you. Well he combines doing a PhD in matths at my old college in Kensington with being an amazing guitarist and song-writer. He's an American, but has lived in London for the past four years. Take a look if you can. This is him solo followed by a collaboration he'd done with another American, currently over in London recording her first album.
