Reanimator was founded in 2005 when bassist Maxime Cormier and vocalist Pétrick Le Pirate turned a hard rock cover band into a passionate thrash metal quintet. The band made their first show in the montreal area in the summer of 2005. They played with bands such as Martyr, Thine Eyes Bleed, Augury and their local partners in crime Shades of Dusk. After a series of show motivations fell low with former guitarists Etienne Boucher, Julien Couture and former drummer Alex Gascon. These guys didn't feel they were ambitious enough to spend time and weekends doing show, so the band had line-up changes in the end of 2005... Drummer Frank Labelle and guitarist Justin D. Morency joined the band during the fall. the band was reforming itself when Mathieu Allard was added to the ranks as lead guitarist. Then the band had a couple of gigs with bands such as Goat Horn, Ghoulunatics and ex LRC grinders As a River (r.i.p.). The band then felt that Justin D. didn't fit quite fit with the bands chemistry so they replaced him with Hard Rocker "Julio" Lefort in Spring of 2006. Ever since the band keeps getting stronger and more charismatic. With the complete, solid line-up, Reanimator played with acts such as Disfear, Misery Index, Agression, A Perfect Murder, Piledriver, Rammer, Neuraxis, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, Intronaut, Fuck The Facts, Immolation and the mighty Exodus. They recorded their debut EP in July 2006 with Mark Perno at the Hell's Kitchen Studio. It was later mastered by none other than Alan Douches and is now release on Galy Records ever since February 2006!
