Sounds Likethat dream you once had where your band was playing this crazy little club and there were lights flashing and pulsing over everything and the crowd was totally into the music and dancing and having a great time, and afterwards you split up from your friends because this girl invited you back to her place to smoke a joint and while you were at her apartment a party seemed to break out in the other room and you sort of drifted away to there and later the sun was coming up and you were on a beach and the wind was blowing harder and harder and you just walked into the water with all your clothes on and the clouds were amazing and the stars were shinning although it was still daylight and you suddenly remembered that you still had another set to play ....

yeah, like that.

   About The Red Plastic Buddha
Neo-psychedelic renegades, Chicago's Red Plastic Buddha live in that half-light between the flower power of Carnaby Street and the darkness of an LSD trip gone wrong. Their music layers guitars, keyboards, and wave upon wave of vocal harmonies over insistant rhythms to create a psychedelic experience that goes far beyond mere imitation of their influences.

"We've had a lot of fun since releasing our debut CD" says frontman Tim Ferguson. "We've had a lot of fun opportunities come our way and playing some of the festivals has been a blast. We've also been fortunate enough to be playing in a city with a great psychedelic following. In June, we'll be heading back to the studio to record the follow up and we're very excited to show our fans the new material."

'Sunflower Sessions', the official debut release of the Red Plastic Buddha, is out NOW on Spade Kitty Records. Hear more clips and buy yours today at: www.spadekitty.com. We can also be found at: Amazon.com, CDBaby.com, CDUniverse.com and the wonderful Bomp Records website. You can download RPB tunes HERE or through iTunes. Request our songs on www.pandora.com, LastFM.com and look for The Red Plastic Buddha on Facebook. WE'RE EVERYWHERE!!!

Couldnt agree more. Its sick the way good music is basically being discriminated against in favour of cheesy pop, dodgy rap and trendy indie to name but a few but as you say the good is still out there.

Layydeeees and Gentlemen! (..small snappy drum roll ensues..)

We're just callin through to say that the Squirrel Skin Slippers have a great new EP to soothe the skull and to put a large grin onto the jaw bone!

Available in 10inch vinyl (for gritty old record fans;), CD (for not-so ageing rockers), and iTunes (for the youngsters).

Buy a copy, tune in, relax, then put your hip out of joint while throwing drunken dance moves on your front porch to our Stomp'n'Roll Blues...

THE LOADED WHISPERS

Artists Use Lies To Tell The Truth

Every once in a while a record lands in your life and blows you away. This is one of those records - an intelligent and heartfelt collection of folk-psychedelics, with songs that will linger in your mind like ghosts long after they have played. Dublin's THE LOADED WHISPERS are probably as great as lo-fi musicians get, combining the brilliant poetry of Jeremiah James and the unmistakeable mind-blowing voice of Syd Lane, over fuzzy stripped-back psych guitar and dancing piano keys. "Artists Use Lies To Tell The Truth" is a perfect introduction to what they do, with so many stand-out tracks that all you can do is let the record play out from beginning to end. And that really is the truth.
