PRESS:
"Austin band Reverse X Rays were a last minute addition to the evening’s festivities – an addition that was clearly received with enthusiasm. The audience made their way to the center of the dance floor to gather around the eclectic quartet as they set up shop. The “experimental” label is pretty much the most apt way to describe the band’s sound. Their over-exuberant onstage presence is as erratic and discordant as the music. Every note was a surprise and there were moments that left you wondering what the hell just happened. Reverse X Rays definitely create a different breed of sound and the audience seemed to lap up every last drop." - Brigitte B. Zabak, Houston Press 8-29-08
"Reverse X-Rays make harmolodic no-wave jazz funkala 1970’s Ornette Coleman and NYC downtown cool like DNA, almost like a more gonzo, atonal version of jazz-punks The Minutemen with crazy almost Afropop guitar interplay."

“The Reverse X Rays lay down some of the funkiest experimental grooves in town, instrumental bursts that are tight and catchy while still pushing every envelope they can lick.” Austin Sound 2-11-08
“Dense musical backgrounds are evident in the Reverse X-Rays' uniquely artistic sound and the extensive musical skill of each member…” Daily Texan
According to James Brown (the late expert on the subject), Reverse X Rays come out of the TV set and are used by nefarious federal agents to alter the brains of our fellow citizens.
