"I Wanna Be On TV" RRF's second full-length release is quite a departure from the simple acoustic arrangements found on "Leaving Indiana." Drums, electric guitar and plenty of vocal harmonies abound on this brand new 10 song rollercoaster. The title track and opener for this record sounds like Cheap Trick rockin' out with Alice Cooper, while "Foul Mouth (Yellow Teeth)" has a huge Rolling Stones/Drive By Truckers kind of vibe. Acoustic guitar is still very present on this release, as well as some piano and keyboard. All and all a very cool and diverse new offering from RRF.
"Leaving Indiana" is Robert's first full-length release following his 2007 "Graves of Soldiers" EP. Steve Albini once told Robert that 10 songs is the perfect album. He agreed.
"Leaving Indiana is the most fun and creative recording experience I've ever had. Songs about my wife, California, my best friend's new baby, my dog...everything relevant to my life today."
Robert has been a contestant on "The Price is Right" (with Bob Barker!), taken the stage with Metallica, recorded with Steve Albini, Johnny K., Joe Baresi, and has written music for more than thirty films, tv shows and video games collectively throughout his career.
