Hey Guys,

Your stuff is wonderful. The hammered dulcimer is dripping with charm and your whole sound paints such a warm and inviting picture. Thanks for being our friend.

I am very familiar with the band name Urban Renewal. They are still around right?

Yes, Tom Nechville is a very cool guy and what an instrument builder! The "Comet" which he built for Matt is extraordinary.

Hope you have a fabulous week guys!

hey - thanks for finding me and for the request!

...it's an honor to be your friend.

cool stuff!

peace and distant light,
russ

ps - the hammered dulcimers that i own and have restored are a Stroehlein (my default pic) which required a total and careful disassembly and rebuild (i found the signature of the maker and the date made - May 5th, 1911 - handwritten in pencil on the backside of the soundboard) ...and a Stonitsch which didn't need as much work made around the same period and only a block or two away from where the Stroehlein was made. i used to own and play a GREAT HD made by Harvey Prinz in KC about a light year ago. Entered the National Hammered Dulcimer Championship in Winfield. Didn't win anything or nothing fancy like that, but had a good time playing and folks seemed to enjoy it.

GREETINGS, LAKE COUNTRY, FROM THE DESERT!!!
(Actually, we've been a bit wetter than usual lately!)

Great to hear your tunes! Not enough bands out there taking advantage of the Hammered Dulcimer! We've managed to morph it into a fine instrument for Contra Dances....just need to AMPLIFY it enough, get out over the FEET and the HOOTS & HOLLERS!

Keep makin' your FINE music!!
