Hey young world, This ya boy Rom, I've been involved with music since I was 3 or should I say its been involved with me?.
Since I was in my mothers womb I was cultivated to bleed the beat thru my vains and drink the amniotic music in your waist, but wait, ya'll dont get it,your contraceptive....see?
I guess the headphones my disc jockey father put on my mothers stomach made me this way
Maybe it was the classic rock they watered me with, the Hip-Hop my sister got me in, or the ritalin in my bottle then.
I was putting out mixtapes before I knew what they was, when instrumentals were on the backs of 45s and cassette singles.
Freestyling was a must and defending ya skills was an everyday thing.Rapping anywhere a mic was available and making it available where it was not.
It was'nt before long that I hooked up with a well known DJ from the top radio station at the time, who was also one of the artists out of the early years of Rap-A-Lot records. The DJ took me up under his wing and I was fortunate enough to be at the radio station all the time and at all the events and from there I learned alot about radio and met alot of the people that influenced me.
With the first female gangsta rap artist in the crew who was with Def Jam, I learned even more about the music business.
After feeling a lil burned out from the fast life, I found myself in a local church where I began a rap ministry and we performed everywhere from The Potters House to Gatesville Pennitentiary to the inmates. We Released 6-7 albums. When the other members of the group began to lose steam, I began working on the first project where I used the name Romio No E, and that album was called Raised By Wolves.
During this period I would find myself in many disagreements with the church I was at and later not be in a church at all.So with this there were some things that were a lil controversial, it was half saint/half sinner(ha ha. No longer bound by tradition and finally becoming a man, the album opened many doors, it had numerous songs in rotation, plenty of magazine covers, finding its way to Iraq and even Japan, and it was even at the top of the charts on many music sites. This led to a mixdisc release under the title of Xclusiv, this CD also had radio success with numerous songs.
Around the same time I was noticed by Lutricia McNeal, a European artist who had been touring worldwide for many years.I had the chance to do three tracks with Lutricia which all made the album and upon time of release she was also on the cover of Playboy. I was flown to Europe where I got to perform in numerous cities and radio stations as well as for Playboy.
I am currently in the studio working on LIVE IN ADHD.
