Roots Collective focuses on playing positive reggae music that speaks to the hearts and minds of all people no matter what race, age or background. Our repertoire combines classic and current reggae hits with a few original compositions. Some artists we pay tribute: Bob Marley, Aswad, Dawn Penn, Judy Mowatt, Burning Spear and Peter Tosh. Our originial compositions are hard hitting storyteller-like songs with catchy hooks that stay with the listeners long after the show. Some of the Roots Collective members have shared the stage with many heavyweight reggae acts such as: Eek-a Mouse, Justin Hinds, Steel Pulse, The Long Beach Short Bus, Natty Nation, The Gibraltar Rockers, Tony Brown, Aswah Gregory and the Enforcers and Yabba Griffiths, Reason for Leaving, Jose & Sumlimes and Supa Ranks & his Rockstone High Power
