A roots rock reggae outfit that combines heavenly harmonies with tight, crisp performances. This powerhouse of talent captures their audiences with their very first note.
Roots Collective is Madison's Best Roots Rock Reggae band! The band has been playing around the Madison, WI and surrounding areas for almost four years. The music is positive reggae music that speaks to the hearts and minds of all people no matter what race, age or background. Our repertoire combines classic and current reggae hits with a growing list of original compositions. Some artists we pay tribute: Bob Marley, Aswad, Dawn Penn, Judy Mowatt, Burning Spear and Peter Tosh. Our originial compositions are hard hitting storyteller-like songs with catchy hooks that stay with the listeners long after the show. Some of the Roots Collective members have shared the stage with many heavyweight reggae acts such as: Eek-a Mouse, Justin Hinds, Steel Pulse, The Long Beach Short Bus, Natty Nation, The Gibraltar Rockers, Tony Brown, Aswah Gregory and the Enforcers and Yabba Griffiths, Reason for Leaving, Jose & Sumlimes and Supa Ranks & his Rockstone High Power
