Recorded at The Bowling Green pub in Manchester on 17th November 2008, when Bridget was on tour with Marcia Bassett, this is a maximal 25-minute set of epic guitar brutalising and deep, moaned vocal incantations. Employing a bow and 'metal' effects pedals, the resulting cacophony is orchestral in scope, rendering almost unreliable the memory of one woman and her instrument. Somewhat akin to Bassett's duo with Matthew Bower, Hototogisu, the deeply layered tones created by Hayden offer, upon first exposure, a somewhat icy auditory experience, but as the recording settles in, the richness and sheer breadth of sound wraps around you like a feather quilt and shifts your perception almost 180 degrees. A truly magnificent set from this former Vibracathedral Orchestra member.

From the Bridge is an audio-montage of sounds recorded from the same location over an 18 hour period. The audio material was recorded on 4 separate mono channels and mixed in surround sound for optimum spatial representation.

There are no rules as such about how or what to play - the ability of spontaneous expression in a group consisting of strangers is the only requirement, performing interesting and unique music. en plus: please bring all equipment you have with you, there will be some on location, but since i this time don't know what and how much, please make sure you have something yourself (mixers, mics, instruments)

On Monday, 18th of May Open Stage for Free Music (mweiooje!) is going in it's third round. Make sure you are attending, it again starts at 20 o'clock, at loophole, which is in Boddinstraße 60, Neukölln. The aim will be - as always - to create good music and audio-visuals (for visual-artist Baruch Gottlieb has already announced to come) within the maximum range and variety of styles. Improvisation is the cue behind it.
