Grab a stack of 45's from the 60's, two armfuls of 8-tracks from the 70's, a shelf of LP's from the 80's, a tower of CD's from the 90's, and your iPod. Now throw in funk, blues, rock, reggae, and jazz, with a hint of country/western. Blend vigorously, bring to a boil, and bake at 420 degrees for 4 hours. Serve with a dark beer and a double Jack on ice.

Lucid has been touring and playing their brand of rock/blues/funk/jazz for the last four years, pleasing fans all over New England. From their hometown of Plattsburgh, to Burlington across the lake, further to Albany, Syracue, Boston and NYC. All six members seemlessly blend their respective influences (from Voodoo Glow Skulls to Little Feat, Jimi Hendrix to Beck and Rush to Coltrane) into a unique form of rock music that has a certain timeless quality. A wide array of instrumentation gives them the ability to create organic and diverse pieces of music that evoke familiarity while maintaining a fresh approach to classic styles. Look for them to be hitting your area soon as they plan to extend their reach down the east coast and beyond.
A completely original band, Lucid has been producing their own albums since their inception. Their debut album, "Miles Deep," was recorded in Vermont at Chuck Eller Studios. The production in this release reflects the outstanding professionalism of the studio: Chuck has worked with bands like The Allman Brothers, Big Joe Burrel, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Phish, and Oysterhead – all influences on the members of the band. Lucid has put the finishing touches on their second album "DEWDMANWAH", which is for sale now (it can be found on itunes, cd baby and digstation, locally at The ADK Soup Company and at any of their live shows). Always interested in fresh approaches, they pursued a more homegrown sound, recording with producer, engineer, rapper, and good friend Benn Erb.

My parents were impressed with you guys, both as musicians and people. They said that they could tell you really enjoyed playing, and you were all real nice people. They enjoyed the music, and it gave them an opportunity to go somewhere to relax and enjoy themselves. Also, they liked my playing, and I thank you for letting me play.
