..A multi-instrumentalist who multi-tasks on a Tascam® multi-tracker, ..Ryan Stratton.. has been flying under the radar, playing in various bands for years, all the while diligently crafting his own voice.....Raised in the indie rock oasis of Louisville, Kentucky, Stratton moved in the late '90s to New York City, where he studied at the School of Visual Arts, went on to design women's underwear (really!) and later joined legendary wunderkind ..Walter Schreifels.. to form the band ..Walking Concert... When the Concert's final curtain came down in 2006 (after an album release, a healthy amount of touring and a song featured on "The O.C."), Stratton began to put to tape the songs upon which he had been quietly working.....Stratton's songs mix classic influences like T. Rex and Lou Reed with modern, melodic pop sensibilities of bands like The Shins and The New Pornographers. .... ..
