i was born in Bridgeport, CT, grew up in San Diego, CA and now live in Los Angeles (which is also where I went to school - Go Bruins...not that i care at all about sports). Saba is my real name, and i paid for it growing up...but now i feel it suits me. Music is everything, but not the only thing to me and i try to find a balance in my life. I make mistakes and sometimes they're big and grand, but i find my way through and manage to laugh a whole lot. I attribute this resilience to my parents. I can also thank my parents for my love of music. My mom was a singer and my father a guitarist, and together they gave birth to a singing guitarist. go figure. i played the flute and also the bassoon growing up, which for anyone wondering is a very attractive instrument to play (no it's not). i think having to wear headgear as a child (for my still present overbite) will keep me forever humbled. i love unicorns and penguins and i'm a vegetarian [note: i have since writing this fallen off the veggie wagon]. i love my dogs, and my friends, and the people i keep close. I thought Bill Cosby was my second dad growing up. i don't strive to be anyone other than who I am...except maybe Punky Brewster (circa the 80s). Some people ask if I have ADD. Re-reading what i've written thus far, I now understand why. I got rid of my cable and I got my life back [note: i got cable again and I'm obsessed with anthony bourdain]. I don't take myself too seriously. I like being alone, about as much (if not more) as I like being around people. Writing makes me feel sane. I don't do it for any other reason. I released a new ep called The Fallout, now available at CD Baby and ITUNES. On it you can hear about how much fun the gradual demise of a relationship is...which is really fun. Isn't it? yeah. ok...thanks...bye now. :) ************* RADIO REQUEST LINES

"You have to like the flowing melodies of this indie-folk girl who's been plugging away in the San Diego coffeehouse scene for a few years now. With her sultry voice, decisive instruments and ready lyrics on heartbreak, Saba knows how to transform love's death-gargle into one hell of a catchy song. Saba's someone to listen to whether you're going through a rough patch or want to remember what heartache felt like." - Candice Kreuger, San Diego City Beat
“Recognized as a Best Acoustic Nominee at the 2004 and 2005 San Diego Music Awards, it's hard to believe that her vocal abilities went almost unnoticed until she belted out KD Lang karaoke-style amongst friends at a L.A. club. For those in San Diego who have caught Saba live, you know that there is nowhere for her to go but up...” – Vicki Marangos, 944 Magazine
