Sage Flower is a songwriter and composer from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Growing up around music and storytellers made for an exciting childhood, but once he started playing jazz in school, Sage knew he wanted to write music.
He has been writing songs and composing music for over a decade,
while touring regionally in Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and
Texas.
In 2009 Sage Flower released ‘Arrow,’ his first full length studio album of original songs.
‘Arrow’ was tracked and mixed by Jared Tyler at Blue Alleluia Studios in Tulsa Oklahoma, Co-produced by Sage Flower and Jared Tyler, and Mastered by the legendary Chuck Zwicky at ZMix, New York, NY.
'Arrow' features several top musicians and vocalists who are part of the modern Tulsa Sound - an eclectic mix of rock, blues, jazz, and country.
SAGE FLOWER - Vocals, Guitars
STEVE PRYOR (OK Jazz Hall of Fame) - Pedal Steel, Elec Gtr
JASON SMART (Fareed Haque, JFJO) - Drums
JARED TYLER - Mandolin, Harmony Vocals
BRIAN LEE (Leon Russel) - Piano & Keys

NIGEL FRYE - Upright Bass
JESSE AYCOCK - Lap Steel, Harmony Vocals

Sage Flower’s live performances are captivating, and contrast the sound of ‘Arrow’ by bringing in more elements of reggae and jazz, even featuring new arrangements of some songs. His live band continues to evolve, but usually consists of a trio/quartet of musicians from the Tulsa scene.
