    Saille was founded by keyboardplayer Dries Gaerdelen in May 2008. Wanting to create the music he had in mind in the style of Tartaros, Limbonic Art, Keep of Kalessin, … symphonic black metal with a threatening feel. Some songs existed as remnants of old Mortifer songs, it was thus a logical choice to cooperate with the Mortifer guitarplayer Jonathan. After contacting Gert from In-Quest and Filip from Gorath, the developpement of songs could start. With the help from ReinieR from Fleshmould/Shumcot studios and several other musicians the recordings of the first album were planned. At the end of 2009, recordings for the first full-cd “Irreversible Decay” started. Due to the complexity of the music and layered structure of the guitars and keyboards, the recording and mixing of the album took several months.
