MySpace a place for friends

SARAVAIN emerged in 2004 in the midst of a turbulent local music scene. Two factions existed—emo and hardcore—and SARAVAIN managed to find its place by bridging the gap between these genres, blending screams and guitar harmonies of heavier genres with catchy vocal lines and melodic interludes commonly found in pop and emo. Over four years, SARAVAIN performed with various national acts including My American Heart, Showbread, Across Five Aprils and Through the Eyes of the Dead. The band also landed a spot on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour, and headlined its own tour in January 2008, visiting nine states. SARAVAIN’s debut full length album came in November 2004 and was released by a short-lived local label, Bury Your Hero Records. A more mature sophomore release came in June 2008 and the record release show of "On Foundations" happened to be SARAVAIN’s last. Although the bandmates parted ways musically, they maintain their friendship created over the four years together. Regardless of their musical difference, they all agree that SARAVAIN was well worth it.
