Scatha was born in the end of 2004 when Julia Pombo (Guitar) meet Cíntia Ventania (Bass) and started to work in a Metal band Project. In the middle of 2005, Cynthia Tsai Yuen ( Drums) joyned the band and one month later Paula Leão (Guitar) and Rebecca Schwab (Vocal) joyned too, forming at all a total band, and started the real work like band.
Scatha had your first show in a legendary “Garage”, a classic show house of Rio de Janeiro – Brasil, already with own compositions and a unusual energy on the stage, causing a big surprise to the public. Five young girls doing the heavy thrash Metal, like the oldies ones!
Before that, the band did a lot of shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, always surprising the public, and stirring up curiosity about the band.
Now, the ages of the band are around 18/19 years old, but in the beginning, the younger guitarist Julia Pombo has only 15 years old, playing fast and heavy! Letting a lot of grow up ones with jealous.
In beginning of 2007 Rebecca Schwab leave the band and Angélica Burns take the voices of Scatha turning the sound of this girls a lot more aggressive then before. In August of 2007 the Demo called “Keep Thrashing!” was released with 5 tracks of the band, showing a big diversity in compositions, with lyrics in English and Portuguese (language of the band).
