Schengen are Nick and Ian (and the non-playing Helen). We’ve both previously been in separate guitar bands (Nick - Bovine Slug / Ian - Blind Panic, Mule) but met through a mutual friend and found a shared love of electronica, reverb, analogue synths and red wine.
We’ve released tracks on a few labels (Awkward Silence, Monopsone, Roisin), and are now lucky to be part of the "small but perfectly formed" MakeMineMusic label. It’s run by a collection of like-minded bands rather than an individual or company. The rosta includes Portal, Yellow6, July Skies, Epic45, Avrocar, Weyland, August Stars and Schengen.
