I think modern thinking is flawed and more about convenience than truth. We like relatives over absolutes because then we don't ever have to take a stand. We have become cowards in our thinking, and then there are those who don't think at all. I think Christian thinking in many cases is worse, or absent, and needs to advance. Most "Christian music" is written for Christians and non-Christians don't relate. I barely relate! I'm trying to write songs that allow outsiders to get an honest, very personal look at my own struggles with trying to fit into the Church and my Faith and to remind those inside the Church that the reason most don't want to join is that Christianity has largely become a list of "Thou Shalt Not's", when it really is a Faith of greater potential. Everyone knows what the Christians are against, but what are we for?
