The Sean Walsh Band is a hardworking and honest bluesrockband from the Netherlands. Live the band stands out due to their raw emotion and dedication. A power trio that takes fans back to the era of Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher. A groovy rhythm section; Yvo van Gemert (drums) and Lex van der Beek (bass), is the backbone for the rough vocals and guitar of singer-songwriter Seán Walsh.
The debut album ‘Velvet Sessions’ has been released in November 2006, followed by an international tour (Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands). The Seán Walsh Band already shared the bill with bands such as ‘Guy Forsyth’ and ‘the Fabulous Thunderbirds’ and played at some major blues festivals and venues such as 013 Tilburg (The Netherlands).
