SHADYON a été créé en 2002 par Maël (lead guitar) et emmanuel (vocals / rythm-guitar). Initialement orientée vers une approche acoustique, la musique a rapidement évolué vers des sphères beaucoup plus Heavy et électriques.
L'ambiance des compositions oscille entre rythmiques plombées, passages acoustiques et refrains atmosphériques. SHADYON se situe donc au confluent d'un Heavy au sonorités scandinaves et du Prog. La volonté du groupe étant de privilégier les ambiances et les atmosphères plutôt que la démonstration gratuite.
“Shadyon” leur premier album éponyme est le reflet de la progression du groupe après deux démos “Rising” et “Human Quest” ponctués de nombreux concerts ,notamment les premières parties d'Evergrey, Dark Age, Paragon, Torment, Thuata de Danann…
