  • Bio

A fusion of highly danceable rock, intricate song craftsmanship and psychedelic funk. A group of four musicians set out to make every show inspiring, every note filled with energy and every body move without remorse. SOAP. Two cousins, Erich Krapf (guitar) and Skyler Krapf (keys), along with Ross Taylor (bass), uprooted the Illinois band and brought it to Minneapolis in 2008. They soon found drummer Austin Lee, and SOAP as you know it today, was formed. In January of 2011, SOAP will take up residency at one of Minneapolis' legendary music venues, The Cabooze – bringing their party to this historic Twin Cities haunt every Wednesday night. With their second studio effort (What's In the Box) due out in February, SOAP is once again taking on new musical challenges, both in songwriting and studio performance. Promoting the album, the band plans to tour the Midwest and beyond extensively in 2011.
