The finishing touches of SOLKYRI'S debut album are being applied and a release is scheduled for some time later this year. The EP contains our finest work to date and there are already plans for some shows towards the end of the year.

Despite the recent influx of quality bands, the heavy music scene here is still struggling to keep afloat in the sea of superficiality which is pop culture. One of the major factors for this is the division which is choking our scene.
We all need to unite behind our common goal of making the kind of waves which can no longer be denied so we can push for rock, metal and hardcore to have its place in the media so we can hear our tracks on the radio and see our videos on the television.
Are you in a band? Do you have friends in a band? Or do you just freaking love the music? Then help us to help you for we cannot fight this fight alone!! Make some friends. Make some contacts. Make a difference. Together we can take a stand and have an awesome time doing it! And most importantly we can do it all without selling out…
Actions speak so much louder than words. So if you really love heavy music, it’s time not only to join the revolution but to play your part in shaping it!
No more cliché whining about being bored and good bands never playing All Ages shows in proper venues. No more supporting only international acts dictated to you by business driven media. Support local music and give them the opportunity to grow and not only meet but surpass your expectations. This is how we can really put the Aussie heavy music scene on the map. So what’s holding you back? Don’t be a sellout.
This Sunday is a diverse lineup. It showcases many but not all of the sub-genres we love. So no more excuses. It’s a good opportunity to check out just what is being offered out there. In the future, with more support we’ll be capable of tailoring shows more and more to the particular tastes of heavy music loving fans and only on the occasion have these kind of broader showcase shows at which we can all broaden such tastes.

The Ori isn't to bad same deal as the Jolly Frog where you put the gig on book the bands etc.. Will get in touch with them and a few other joints in the next few days and let you know how we go.
Yeah we are looking at anywhere really preferably local but whatever comes up around that time. Got onto the guys at the Jolly again the other day just waiting to hear back will probably try the Ori too.
The new tune is grooving too! I like the home demo flavour. I suppose 'nice' is an ambiguous adjective sometimes? Perhaps at times 'nice' and 'rock' are perceived to be in opposition- and we can't have that now! We're looking to convert to a 4 piece, so Grant the Ant can concentrate on bass chops. So if you know anyone local, then you know what to do! Be nice now, haha.

Hey boys another top new song! We are supposed to get the mixes of our songs back this week and then we are going to get it mastered and hopefully have some new songs posted within the next few weeks if all goes well.
We are still on the lookout for somewhere to have an EP launch in April and will keep you guys posted to how we are going.
