17 NOVEMBER 2006 - Sophie sang the Welsh National Anthem at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
Sophie’s musical journey so far has not been stereotypical to say the least! Her heritage a mixture of Welsh, French, Danish and Irish, she has performed from a young age in musical productions but after being picked from hundreds of children by Midge Ure to perform at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in 2001 when she was just 11 years old, in the Live Aid event 'Showtime at the Stadium' for BBC Wales, along with acts such as Charlotte Chuch, Atomic Kitten, Steps, Blue and S Club 7, the love affair with singing and performing in public began. Sophie was adamant that she wanted to carve out a career in music
Sophie's perseverance has led to appearances not only on stage and TV but also on radio stations worldwide.
After hearing an advert on Real Radio (105-106fm) for UK Music Week looking to highlight unsigned talent, she sent in a demo and the next thing she knew she was being interviewed and her tracks played on air! Dave Brookes from Real Radio described her voice as ‘Chocolatie with a hint of claret’ and local newspapers suggested that she has a ‘real future’ (Barry&District News) and could be the ‘next teenage recording starlet’ (South Wales Echo)
Sophie is currently writing more songs & has put a demo CD together with tracks from it being played by Dafydd Du on BBC Radio Cymru, by Adam Court & Ruth Davies of Bridge FM and by IRFT Celtic Radio in California!!.

Luis from Superhuman likes your stuff and I've had a listen and you have a lovely voice but I suppose that's not uncommon in Wales. It's surprising that Irish musicians have a much higher profile worldwide than the many talented people from Wales. Trouble is there are an increasing number of "artists" and a decreasing number of venues. The record company lackeys and big time promoters only want to touch proven talent with massive sales. We don't care to much for money and are bringing BUDGIE down under because we want to hear them. I told the investors selling Budgie to non fans would be like selling leprosy. Chocolate with claret should be more pleasant! We don't have a huge market here but I will contact you if any opportunities for an antipodean "holiday" comes up. All the best, SACH.
Hi Sophie, been listening to your new tracks again and i can't believe your not signed, the record company's should be falling over themeselves to sign you up. Keep up the great work Luis xxx
