Sounds Like
a southbound train that lulls you, rocks you steady, whistles at you, and takes you where you need to be.
Sorcha's voice packs a luscious punch from wails to whispers. Her ridiculously creative upbringing in rural, coastal Maine inspired her to learn to communicate primarily in the language of folk-jazz. She can translate almost anything into this enchanting dialect. She pours words of sweet and savory over piano, guitar, and banjo arrangements and serves it up with charm, zest, and sophistication. Sorcha’s third & newest album “Laughing and Lamenting,” celebrating the loss paradox, is slated for a spring 2010 release. Sure to be very tasty.
