These talented young people are a rare commodity, a new breed, and
a breath of fresh air. Soulfruit includes four solid core singers/dancers and their
talented band. Soulfruit is not a new kid on the block. They’ve been in operation
for seventeen years, delivering a strong message of hope and joy combined
with impeccable harmonies and tight choreography. Soulfruit reaffirms the
priority of family, righteous conduct and a prevailing love for others.
Soulfruit is quite comfortable flowing from Neo-soul, to R&B,
to Gospel, Country, Acapella, or Rap, and even Jazz. As lead singer/songwriter,
Toby Hill explains regardless of the form their sound takes, they “shoot it
straight up to God!” Over the seventeen years of fusing gospel, R & B, and urban hip, they have masterfully intertwined a distinctive sound and sight all their own. Soulfruit has gone from just memorizing songs and imitating other artists to establishing their own unique sound. Toby says they have matured in the Word and are applying daily the Word to their music and lifestyle.
Soulfruit has traveled throughout the country and has been featured on
television networks including PBS, CBS, and ABC . They have opened for
Twinkie Clark, Edwin Hawkins, John P. Kee, and Yolanda Adams, along with the
likes of Kirk Franklin, Tonex, Trinity 5-7, and The Cross Movement; all pillars in
the Gospel music industry. Soulfruit’s versatility enabled them to also share
stages with R&B legends such as The Bar-Kays, Howard Hewitt, Ollie Woodson,
and Blues legend Denise LaSalle. And the list goes on with Country favorites
such as Stella Parton, Mike Snider and Gary Morris. Lead singers, Toby Hill,
better known as "Tob” and Tyren Covington as "Ty", are joined with the youthful
vocals of Vanessa Hill and the unique moves of Dance Choreographer, Gerren
