Music, psychology, theme parks, sci fi (particularly Dr Who, Stargate, Trek, B5, Galactica, and Atlantis), Travel, movies (especially the ones that will blow your mind and force you to reevaluate everything in life including the yoga of properly feeding the cats).
Music
Generally in my collection you will find a nice cross section of sounds. Mostly Prog Rock and Jam bands, peppered with sonic odds and ends such as Blackalicious, and Greg Brown. There is something good in every genre of music, and no genre gets the immediate boot without first being digested. So with that in mind the strongest flavors in the palate are The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Phish, Marillion, Alan Parsons, ELO, and the Beatles. You can hear any number of these artists on my radio show at www.thedividingline.com/ss
Movies
The recent ones: Golden Compass, Cinema Paradiso, Delicatessan, Deathproof.
All time favorites: Big Lebowski, Dazed and Confused, Lion in Winter, The Man who knew too much, LOTR the entire thing, and of course that old standby Star Wars.

I run a progressive and jam based Radio show every Tuesday night on www.thedividingline.com called Soundscape. If you check out the show please let me know what you think. The most important thing you need to know about my show, is that I am always looking for whats new to me and my listeners, and I very much want to support the up and coming bands in both prog and jam. So, Picture yourself in a Tardis made of Speakers, a virtual flight through the hidden depths of the musical realm. Yep that covers it.
As difficult as it may be to define oneself, we can at least rely on patterns of behavior and goal setting right? So with that in mind, I am a seeker of sounds on a quest for the new and the amazing flights of fancy that music can offer us. Along the journey I like to question what things are and how it is we interact with those things. To that end I find myself constantly exploring psychology, and conciousness, as well as that long awaited answer to the blockbuster novel "Just who is this God person anyway?" Lets just say I am very fond of navel gazing and dancing naked.
If you are in a band and would like to be featured on my show, please drop me a line and I will see what I can do.
Going forward, if you are going to request me as a friend, we must have a dialogue. I will accept bands that send me promotional materials, and friends of progressive rock from the world over, but I am no longer blindly allowing friends in the group.
Who I'd like to meet: Well Id like to meet musicians of all ilks and creeds, but then again I would also like to meet politicians, porn stars, regular folk, and oddballs. There is bound to be some interesting people nestled within that nexus.
Happy Holidaze... Hope all is well. Thanks for continuing to play us. Doing more shows around town again... Are you two heading to the Xmas Jam in Asheville?
How's the school routine going? I'm in the second week already and I'm exhausted! I'm glad I started school when I did... I'm getting too old for this er...stuff.
Great to hear about the school thing! When it's your own money and you aren't caught up in that whole party scene, you tend to apply yourself to it so much more than the first time around. I'm sure you'll do great! And the best part is that it goes by so darn fast!
Hey Woody! I think everytime you are bought, your value increases. Also, I'm not sure about this, but I believe everytime someone is sold, MADD, UNICEF, DAR, ELO, etc. contribute $1 to the fund to hire a hit man to take out Hannah Montana.
Hey Woody, thanks for checking us out! I am going to have to give you MAD PROPS for all of the Firefly stuff on your page. I'm just now working my way though the series for the third time... How is Joss Whedon so f--kin' good? -- Adam
