Springdale Quartet is a group of musicians based out of Boulder, Colorado and the surrounding Metro areas. Combining elements of several musical identities, this four-piece group bases their sound on a solid compositional foundation, one that draws from musical institutions as diverse as heavy jazz organ, upbeat funk, and progressive rock. Blending a reverence for the technical traditions of each members’ instrument with a desire to improvise in order to create new and unique sonic landscapes, Springdale Quartet is constantly striving to expand both their musical knowledge and ability- and having fun in the process. Springdale was featured at 10,000 Lakes Festival in 2008, and has performed at some of Colorado’s most prestigious theaters such as the Fox Theater, Boulder Theater, and the Gothic Theatre, with acts including the Benevento/Russo Duo, Tea Leaf Green, and The New Mastersounds. Never forgetting to have a sense of humor, Springdale Quartet is making their mark on the live music scene, and doing it in style.

So my buddy, my girlfriend and I showed up about two hours early for the New Mastersounds set, and I'm so glad we did! You guys ended up being my favorite show of the night. It was cool to meet Jordan on the floor during Double Parked, but I never got that CD he spoke of... I'll have to drive twist and shout when I've got some money and hope they have it.
