Stand Easy - a Celtic Rock band led by John McLean Allan.
The band also features Jeff Cullen on highland pipes, whistles and vocals. Ken Lasaine on guitars, Paul Trutner on bass and Chris Razze on drums.
Stand Easy came together to share John's vision to create a landmark fusion of commercial songwriting, Celtic music and Rock and Roll. The band performs both original songs, traditional songs and instrumentals.
John is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who recently appeared playing pipes in the Oscar Winning Best Picture. Million Dollar Baby. He has also performed with the Chieftains, Korn, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Tonight Show Band and at the Coachella Music Festival. As a member of the L.A. Scots Pipe Band, John has performed and competed all over North America and Europe. The band has also performed and recorded John's compositions.
John's compositions have been used for such diverse applications as a Honda commercial, performances by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and considered for MTV's Real World. He also played bagpipes on General Hospital, Austin Powers 2, National Security, Primary Colors, Judging Amy, West Wing, Providence, and in many other Film and T.V. situations.
The Band's self-titled 1st CD,"Stand Easy" has been heard on over 100 radio stations in the US, Scotland, Canada, and even Mexico. The band has also recently released a second CD, "Tainted". If youre excited about what Celtic music and bagpipes sound like in the Rock and Roll world, then prepare yourself for a brand new listening experience.
