Stan Silver

Bio:

Stan was born in New York City, but has been living and working as a studio and live performing musician on various projects mostly in Germany for many years. Growing up as a kid in Florida (Daytona Beach), he became infused with a certain southern "twang" that can be heard all over his music. But he draws inspiration from many eclectic sources, and will freely mix country, rock&roll, reggae, folk and pop without a care to create his songs-- sometimes alone and sometimes in collaboration with other renowned writers such as Cande de Rouge (who wrote Power of Love recorded by Jennifer Rush & Celine Dion) and Peter Hoffmann (who produced Falco). He just finished his first full length CD, but before even releasing it, the title track from his EP Higher Ground has been getting a lot of play on various internet radio stations and reached 2 on Rheinerft Radio, 5 on Toronto’s The Country Edge, 6 on Hollyday Radio Project and 17 on Super Country Radio airplay charts. To top it all the song was voted runner up song of the year 2007 on "Lisa..s Walks the Talkshow"for www.NYCountry.com radio. After playing an Open Mic Night at Cafe Bellissimo in Los Angeles he was invited by Garret Swayne, the host of the "MainStreet Songwriter Showcase" as a featured artist. Here..s what he said about him:"Stan came to my attention by playing the MSSS Open Mike last time he was in LA. He played a mean slide guitar, and I thought he must have spent his whole life in the backwoods of Kentucky…then he told me he was from Germany! I was taken aback (and über-impressed!) and wanted to book him as a featured artist. Well, he’s back quite a few times and I hope he..ll be back on a regular basis." But there were quite a few other exciting gigs and clubs he got to play in L.A., San Diego, Las Vegas and at CBGB in New York. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This past October Stan had the chance to record with some of the hottest players in L.A.. Nobody less than Lisa Haley on Fiddle from "Lisa Haley & The Zydekats" and Skip Edwards on Pedal Steel Guitar who added that perfect touch to two of Stan..s newest songs entiteled "True Love (is Hard to Find)" & "Singing a Country Song". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An experience of the extraordinary was made during the Country Music Messe in Berlin in Feb. 2008. Stan got to share the stage with Poland..s No. 1 country artist Michael Lonstar and his Band for a half houre showcase on the main stage (Stars & Stripes Stage). The response was so amazing that Stan got invited by Michael to do a 3-song special appearance during Lonstar..s own CD release party in Warsaw a few weeks later. Right on the spot the promoter of Poland..s biggest country music festival "The Country Piknik" in Mragowo asked if Stan would perform a full set during the festival . Of course Stan didn..t hesitate and will be hitting the stage on Friday July 25th accompanied by Michael Lonstar and his Band. Before going to Poland he had a Special Guest Appearence at the "Truck Grand Prix" at Nuerburgring. But not only performing in Europe but also in Asia was another achieved goal in 2008. A club tour lead Stan from Okinawa to Tokyo and then back to Los Angeles.
