The Rock Goddesses are back! No need to look any further, Starla Dear is the new embodiment of Rock & Roll. You cannot help but be mesmerized as these three young vixens step on stage, strap on their axes and blow you away. This fiery foursome blends influences like: Veruca Salt, The Pixies, Pearl Jam, U2, and Sleater-Kinney, into a perfect concoction of beauty, strength, intricate guitars, catchy hooks, raw intensity and a sweet pop twist.
Founding members of the much-hyped Boston band The Fuzzy Pinks, Audrey (the free spirit) and LuLu (the rebellious one), recorded their first demo at Fort Apache Studios. Sadly, the line up was not strong enough to live up to its hype and they soon disbanded. This chaos only fueled their Rock & Roll urge and Starla Dear was born after recruiting Acadia (the shy one) and Dan (the ONE). SD has been consistently playing around the Boston and Worcester areas with acts like, Damone (Noelle), Mike Peters and the Alarm 2000, The Dubnicks, Rainshine, Huck, The Curtain Society, River City Rebels and Rocketscience.
Starla Dear’s Demo/EP Let’s Do This is jam-packed with seductive sounds, swarming guitars, intoxicating vocals, and gorgeous harmonies backed by a tight, hard-rocking rhythm section that will get your rocks off. This debut release has the angsty hard rocking numbers along with delicate and sweet ballads of heartbreak. Recorded and mixed by Jack Younger (David James Motorcycle, Planeside, etc.) at Basement 247 in Allston, MA, their 6-song EP Let’s Do This is a smashing start for this up and coming act.
