QUADROS RETURNS TO SHOWTIME W/STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS TWICE IN NOVEMBER - 6TH & 20TH
Mister Quadros will return to Showtime Networks to call the action on two more installations of the popular Strikeforce Challengers series on Friday, November 6th at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA and Friday, November 20th at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS.
On November 6th the action never lets up as Jorge Gurgel (13-5) squares off against Billy Evangelista (9-0) in a much anticipated slugfest. Also vying for for the spotlight will be Luke Rockhold (5-1) vs. Jesse Taylor (17-4) and two undefeated heavyweights, Shane Del Rosario (8-0) vs. Brandon Cash (5-0)!
On November 20th Strikeforce Challengers again showcases fast-rising welterweight Tyron Woodley, this time in the main event, fresh off an armbar victory over Zach Light. The ATT (American Top Team) product will tangle with Rudy Bears, who in recently defeated WEC veteran Brendan Seguin in his 6th consecutive victory. Co-headlining the card is a light-heavyweight battle between highly touted Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (Team Nogueira) and Aaron Rosa, who is currently riding a two-fight win streak. Also on the card is Kerry Vera vs. Kim Couture and Sarah Kaufman vs. Takayo Hashi

Showtime Networks MMA commentator/analyst "The Fight Professor" Stephen Quadros was a guest on HDNet's "Inside MMA." The other guests on the panel were UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee and WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner. The gents discussed many subjects including: the controversial Benson Henderson/Donald Cerrone WEC championship outcome, a mid-level heavyweight division, NFL running back Herschel Walker's move to MMA and Junie Browning's latest antics.
Quadros had this to say about his appearance on the show:
"Inside MMA hosts Kenny Rice, Bas Rutten, Ron Kruck and I all have great history together: Bas and I called the action for Pride Fighting Championships pay per view broadcasts for three years (2000-2003), Ron and I worked on the original WEC broadcasts on HDNet and we all worked together with the IFL shows on Fox Sports Net. So it was sort of a reunion! I'm was thrilled to be on the show with my esteemed friends and colleagues. It was fun kickin' it with Jamie and Todd too. I had a blast!"

During the joint Showtime/Strikeforce press conference in Los Angeles, Ken Hershman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sports & Event Programming with SHOWTIME spoke about the upcoming MMA broadcasts on the network:
“We’ve assembled the best announce team in the business-Gus Johnson, Stephen Quadros, Frank Shamrock, Mauro Ranallo and Pat Miletich,” said Hershman. “The depth of talent, in terms of professional fight experience and live broadcast polish, is unmatched in the industry."
"Working for Showtime for the past two years has been a dream job and now with the new partnership with Strikeforce, I couldn't be happier," Quadros says. "I've known (Strikeforce CEO) Scott Coker for ages and we've always threatened to work together. Now it's going to finally happen! I can't wait!"

this guy is quoted as saying "there is no point in being alive if you cannot do the deadlift" he died on the 16th January 1993 of a heart attack while performing a dealift, oh the irony!

I know, buddy. I always appreciate you and the time you take to address your die hard fans! I just popped in my Pride 10 DVD last night; magic, pure magic. There's never been a team like you and Bas. Like I always tell you: MMA is my life and my passion. I eat, sleep, live, and breathe MMA. That said, it is exponentially more enjoyable when you are calling the action and bantering back and forth, whether with Bas or Mauro or Pat.
Your MMA commentary is akin to throwing a supercharger on a 2009 Mustang GT: taking something that is superb in and of itself and managing to somehow make it even better! No matter where you go or what you do, I always support you, brother!
