  • Bio

A founding member of the infamous 1980s ZTT group Das Psycho Rangers. Since the late 1970s, I've worked in many capacities from studio session musician, recording engineer, bass player, guitar, keyboardist, and since the late 1990s, pedal steel player. I've also been a guitar tech to Ritchie Blackmore, Ry Cooder, Mick Box, Dave Stewart, Roddy Frame, Debbie Smith and Grant-Lee Phillips; and a keyboard tech for Oasis, Manfred Mann and Mansun. I often worked as a stage/production or tour manager. I became quite well known as a pedal steel player for Culture Club, Dolly Parton, Uriah Heep, Kathryn Williams, Billie Ray Martin, Zerocrop, Johnette Napolitano, Agent Provocateur, and on a host of independent releases from British singer/songwriters such as Alastair Artingstall, Andrew Morris, Colin Pollock, Glenn Meling, Spekki Chris, Jayson Norris and Roger Knott. Recording on a newly configured hybrid recording system that incorporates Neve, API, Manley, SSL, Altec, Purple and Focusrite preamps, comps and EQs, as well as vintage Neumann mics, AKGs and Coles. The gem of the locker is a Sony C800G. Digital tracking on Pro Tools HD 8. My new studio houses a large Live room and a Tuned Control room. It's a short walk from Shoreditch High Street and a bingo hall.
