Steven West was born and raised in a little town called Atco that hides in Southern New Jersey. He was only 9 years old when his granddad taught him his first chords on a banjo and how to play the harmonica. He was hooked. From there, the banjo turned into an acoustic guitar and by age 14, West was performing on stage. As a teenager, New Jersey didn't have much to offer as far as Country venues, so West explored the rock-n-roll scene but Country was always his passion. West eventually decided he had to get back to doing Country (something his parents had been telling him to do for years) so he gave up on the rock scene and started writing Country songs. The songs just poured out of him. His songs are very heart felt and deep and sometimes even leave an audience tearing up. While on the other hand, West knows how to get the party started with his upbeat "make ya feel good" songs. West is on his way to a promising career in Country music, and no better place to do it than Nashville. He currently peforms every Wednesday through Saturday evenings at the world's number one Honkytonk - The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville, TN where he continually packs the house and delivers an unforgettable show. West is on the verge of signing a major recording contract and is working with the top writers in the business on his first album. If you're ever in Nashville, you must check out Steven West and don't be suprised if your favorite country star just happens to join Steven on stage for a duo! He has shared the stage with such stars as Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Hank Jr., John Rich (Big and Rich), Joe Nichols, Jake Owen, Montgomery Gentry, Dierks Bentley, Kris Kristofferson and many more! Steven is surely on his way to stardom!
