Sounds Like
Sounds like we're trying to be folk singers but with both fingers in our ears
In the early ages of 2005 two Fifers found themselves in a dusty windowless room high above sea level. Dazed and some what bewildered by the lack of sunlight they scurried around for things to fill their time. Armed with wit, their raw vocal talent and instruments at hand they crafted tunes of truth, humor and myth. A musical bond was established and they made a pact to extend this bond with others, building on their arrangements and getting other musicians and like minded people involved.
Just over a year passed and the two men emerged from their Bothy confident of their creations and a damn sight hairier. Their quest had begun.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Stonedyke are a young band making big news in the already impressive Fife acoustic music scene.
Formed in 2005 by song writing duo Nathan Ferguson and Ewan Masson the songs were around a long time before the performance. Together they crafted music with a Scottish heart about subjects which know no borders.
With the introduction in 2006 of acclaimed musician & song writer Kellie Buchanan and accomplished percussionist Douglas Pirie, the band set about showcasing their music. They soon discovered that their music was as much at home in a folk club as it was among more mainstream music venues.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In 2007 Stonedyke have come in to their own in terms of live performance. They have quickly gained a foothold in the Folk scene with gigs at Kirkcaldy Acoustic Music Club and an informal set at Fife’s Langspoon festival. As well as this they have gigs lined up in the coming year at every major Fife folk club including Dunfermline and Glenfarg. In the past few months the band have played at St Andrews “Burst The Bubble” festival, the well respected “Free candy Sessions” in Glasgow and have other “Tartan Underground” showcases coming up

It would be great if you could come along and do a few songs on the Sunday. There will be a PA and mics there so all you have to do is plug in and sing. Would be great to see you.
If not, they should be, they are awesome. You have the same line up and everything, it's way weird. Yeah if I'm not working I'll be there! I'll bring my fiddle and my mandolin :)
