Hmmm... well, I bought my first accordion in the winter of 2007, and I've been teaching myself to play it ever since. My first batch of songs were written that winter and spring (half on guitar, half on accordion) and were recorded on a hand-held tape recorder and released as "rushed and poorly done" (a full length tape) in the spring of 2008. It wasn't until then that I started playing shows. After that I decided to focus exclusively on the accordion, and during the summer of 2008 I wrote more, re-recorded some of my earlier songs properly, and recorded (myself) and released "the katastrophe ep" in the early fall.
Several houses, deaths, break-ups, loves and one province later, I found myself living in PEI, and with lots of new material, Cud and I started Eastbound Collective (a recording/distro label) and recorded and released "things left unsaid..." in January of 2009. After a short tour with friends Fairy Boy and Faceplant in the US and some of Canada, I came back home to PEI to write and hang out in the country. In the spring of 2009, Fairy Boy and I released a split CD (6 songs from each of us); his half called "stay here", and mine entitled "in a barren wasteland with cruel intentions" reflecting our emotions towards Halifax (him staying, me leaving). In June of 2009 Cud Eastbound and I embarked on a huge month-long tour of the Eastern US and some of Canada, and had an amazing time and met some of the most amazing people.
Now Cud and I are planning another tour for Spring 2010, taking us all the way across the Southern US and Canada, as well as up both coasts. And by that time, I will have a new full-length CD out that I've been working really hard on, and am really excited about.

Yeah man, I googled our name...cause I am a nerd like that (and you know cause we are like Tegan and Sarah famous...HA HA)....and the photos came up! I'm stoked cause it is the first really good photo we have of us with Ted. YAY! How are you doin? Work good? Dude we are stoked for the show out there, I can't wait to get back out east!!!! ok, bye.
hey! thanks for the tagged pics! that was a great day! i might use the one of fairyboy faceplant that other fellow and i as my profile pic if thats cool with you!
well depending on where at in phoenix but i know tempe is like 4 and half hours away kingmans realy nothin great though i just would love more shows around here while im here
no problem! yeah, the spaces/folks you mentioned boston and CT shows were what i was going to suggest. i forget that you know these folks too! i can get you a show in Allston as well, if you wanted/had time to play three shows in MA. as for the leverett show--i don't really know anybody who's still living at juggler's meadow--when i left, there were four or five rad women living there (all farmers), but i'm not sure if they're still doing shows. i'll talk to niko (he just got back from some brief travels), cuz he may be moving back in there.
as fr the rhode island show--we could talk to the folks at AS220, but i really have a lot of issues with that space. the activist community is incredibly passive, and shows at the "radical" AS220 space really only seem to pacify any creative energy that folks here may have. if we booked you here (which i sure as hell can do), i'd organize a show somewhere very much not at a show space.
one option is my fav spot around here--India point. it's a train draw bridge that's been abandoned since the seventies. we have bon fires there (ie it's where we drink), and i think it would be a rad place to have you play. we could have a fire and a cookout, no cops, and a lot of the cooler (punk) folks here would show up.
Thanks for the add. You have some incredible tunes. My buddy Joe has your split ep, we were listening to it last night. This spring, if you get a chance to be in Alberta, you should definitely consider coming up to Peace River. We'd love to have you up here for a show. Or a meal. We're not picky.
i got you booked in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, girl. Could get you shows in Allston, Boston, Waterbury (CT), and probably NY (Brooklyn). Lemme know if/when you want me to hook you up.
