Leeds (UK) based 2-piece 'Insect Guide' is Su Sutton and Stan Howells.
The debut album '6ft In Love' was released in October 2007 and Uncut named the record as one of its "debut albums of the month" describing the music as "accessible and joyously barbed pop songs..."

Sonic Boom, leader of Spacemen 3 and Spectrum remixed 2 tracks from the debut album. Fresh from co-writing and mixing with Dean & Britta and the legendary Jim Dickinson (Big Star/Dylan), Sonic turned his sublime and distinctive style to Insect Guide. Released in January 2008, THIS IS NOW SOLD OUT but you can still download the tracks from Northern Star Records.

Psysalia Psysalis Psyche get a large chunk of their name from the latin for the Portuguese Man of War, a deadly creature of the sea. Like the band's namesake, Psysalia have an amorphous, floating sound of heady distorted guitar, melodic bass and electric processing and a poison vocal. Influences for the band include a heavy list of western favourites, from Babyshambles and Primal Scream, to the Strokes, the Beatles and Sonic Youth.

Yelps' all-over-the-shop pop is as intriguing as it is inspiring. How do they manage to make their more-ish-like- crack tunage sound as if it is about to collapse without it actually happening?
