The members of subMission have a multitude of influences ranging from Iron Maiden to Metallica from Evergrey to Dream Theater from Led Zeppelin to Deep Purple, from Nevermore to In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Judas Priest, Trivium, WASP, Uriah Heep, Nocturnal Rites, King Diamond, Slayer and Black Sabbath.
Based in Windhoek, subMission was formed in 2005 by a number of musicians from the Namibian and South African scene, with the aim to blow your mind with our blend of melody, power and in-your-face energy. subMission features many stalwarts of the Southern African scene, whose playing credits include bands like Arcana XXII, Mjollnir, Eleventh Plague and Obscured.
I'm going to South Africa next week, and thought I'd check out the local metal music on the other side of the planet. Oddly enough, your music has a very nordic touch to it, wich I dig!
Sadly I wont be able to attend your show on saturday, as I wont arrive untill sunday, but if you're playing other concerts, or can recommend any concerts in South Africa, I'd love to hear from you:-)
Glad I find you. I was really surprised to hear about a metal scene in Namibia. Hope to stay in contact with you, keep me informed and maybe the next time I come to Windhoek I have the opportunity to see and hear you. Keep on rockin guys !
Amazing stuff! There are very few metal bands over here. The rock scene here is just shaking up. We have a monthly battle of the bands and a rock fest twice a year. Right now We're trying to focus on recording and promoting our songs...cmd to balance that with work/uni. Have you guys done much recording?
