Bun has been working as DJ over fifteen years now. He set the focus on Dubstep since it all began, around 2002, when he discovered Horsepower Productions. He actually appreciates all kinds of Uk 140bpm sub bass music. He is known as a pioneer of the movement here, having set up the first Dubstep parties since 2006 in places like Beurschouwburg.
He’s hosting a radio show every Thursday broadcasted on the English station www.subfm.com
It’s called « Fresh Off the Boat ». The show has been rewarded with « best radio show » by the dubstep forum and Bun won best international dj, the same year.

Musicien sénégalais, tour à tour chanteur, compositeur et guitariste, Jupiter DIOP opte très tôt pour une pratique de vie fondée sur le travail, le partage, la tolérance et l’humilité. Face au succès fulgurant du premier album qu’il réalise en hip-hop avec le groupe Jef-J (25 000 albums vendus en Afrique de l’Ouest), il choisit de quitter les feux de la rampe pour étudier seul la musique et s’engager plus avant dans sa recherche spirituelle. Ce vœu de simplicité s’inscrit dans la mouvance Baye-Fall, une voie mystique africaine issue du Coran. Ses rythmes et ses mélodies se teintent dès lors de résonances sacrées. Dans cet esprit, il créé en 2000 Lamp Fall Sarafina, un collectif avec lequel il enregistre plusieurs albums au Sénégal et fait plus de 750 concerts. Il participe au festival DK24, organisé par Youssou N’Dour. En février 2004, Jupiter arrive en Belgique avec la volonté de poursuivre sa musique selon les principes du Lamp Fall Sarafina en s’ouvrant au partage et à la rencontre avec des musiciens d’horizons divers. Il forme alors sous le même nom un trio acoustique avec Mr Jo (harmonica) et Ibrahim Ka (guitare), avec lesquels il se produit un peu partout en Europe. Sa rencontre avec les futurs musiciens de Massive 5 va encore étendre son champ d’action. Ensemble, ils composent des arrangements pour les morceaux de Jupiter, chacun apportant sa note personnelle et son interprétation du message Baye-Fall. La musique de Jupiter s’amplifie dans la diversité des instruments employés. Unis par une envie de partage et d’innovation, Jupiter & Massive 5 veulent explorer toutes les possibilités qu’offre un tel mélange, en repoussant sans cesse les limites des genres consacrés. It’s been ten years since the first time Mr Jo blew his harmonica. He’s into Brussels soundsystems since 2000, spicing up roots reggea, dub, breaks, d&b and dubstep with his bluesy feeling. He’s been part of crews such as FWF, One Earth Sound, Nyabinghi International Soundsystem, Ashanti3000, Digital Nooba, FOB.

The love of the bass put together this crew from Brussels . The selektah is Dj Bun Zero, Mr Jo plays the harmonica and Jupiter Diop brings the soulful and mystical lyrics pon the mic. The Sub Nerds exude beats from Dubstep, Uk Garage, Grime, UKSteppa Dub, even allowing themselves to add some Roots Reggae vibes to it. Band based on dj tracks or Dj set backed up by musicians, the crew of variable forms is definitely open to new collaborations. Bun Zero will bring beats made of electronics while Mr Jo handles his plenty of pedals (live) and let his harmonica bring the bluesy Reggae dub influences. Jupiter Diop and his strong roots Reggae background and his wonderful voice are the new mystical Sub Nerds elements !
