Switchyard is a person named Rachel pretending to be a band. Rachel grew up in Las Vegas. Rachel thinks it's creepy to talk about herself in third person.
'The Secret Life of Spiders' is an honest collection of dark, introspective songs, written in bed. They are a testament to losing things, looking for things, finding things, ruining things and ultimately deciding that "you might as well be brave" in the face of all these things. Melancholic and full of expectancy, it is the sound of waiting endlessly on a train, destination unknown.
The full-length CD is available on http://www.cdbaby.com/switchyard.

Rachel, excellent job Wednesday! Thanks so much for your performance... I love your lyrics! Cheers, maybe I'll see you play again if you decide to abandon your "retirement"...
I am seriously considering it. I hope I pull it off. If I can afford to fill up my gas tank!
I feel calm today, for some reason. Must be the three months off thing. (But my old classroom's still full of boxes and files and stuff for me to move Monday- and my new classroom is half as big with a fourth of the shelves. Figure that one out.)
I might just talk myself into going down to Mexico again this summer. Could we stop by for a visit if we pass through? Maybe you could even be stolen along as a co-pilot?
Good luck with your detox- I hope it works out for you. :)
