[by: William Shakespeare " NOT from the stars do I my judgment pluck, And yet methinks I have astronomy; But not to tell of good or evil luck, Of plagues, of dearths, or season's quality; Nor can I fortune to brief minutes tell, Pointing to each his thunder, rain, and wind, Or say with princes if it shall go well By oft predict that I in heaven find; But from thine eyes my knowledge I derive, And, constant stars, in them I read such art As truth and beauty shall together thrive If from thyself to store thou wouldst convert: Or else of thee this I prognosticate, Thy end is truth's and beauty's doom and date" ]
The little boat at anchor in black water sat murmuring to the tall black sky A white sky bomb fizzed on a black line. A rocket hissed it's red signature into the west. Now a shower of Chinese fire alphabets, A cry of flower pots broken in flames, A long curve to a purple spray, three violet balloons--- Drips of seaweed tangled in gold, shimmering symbols of mixed numbers, Tremulous arrangements of cream gold folds of a bride's wedding gown--- A few sky bombs spoke their pieces, then velvet dark. The little boat at anchor in black water sat murmuring to the tall black sky.” -Carl Sandburg- }
Wishing you a fabulous Fourth of July. I am (sort of) one of your Phoenix friends: a graduate student at the University of Phoenix--getting my Master's end of October. I'd say most of your Phoenix friends are inside today. It was 114 degrees in Phoenix yesterday.
One precedes our founding fathers and finds its roots in the harshness of our puritan past. It is very suspicious of freedom, uncomfortable with diversity, hostile to science, unfriendly to reason, contemptuous of personal autonomy. It sees America as a religious nation. It views patriotism as allegiance to God. It secretly adores coercion and conformity. Despite our constitution, despite the legacy of the Enlightenment, it appeals to millions of Americans and threatens our freedom.
The other vision finds its roots in the spirit of our founding revolution and in the leaders of this nation who embraced the age of reason. It loves freedom, encourages diversity, embraces science and affirms the dignity and rights of every individual. It sees America as a moral nation, neither completely religious nor completely secular. It defines patriotism as love of country and of the people who make it strong. It defends all citizens against unjust coercion and irrational conformity.
This second vision is our vision. It is the vision of a free society. We must be bold enough to proclaim it and strong enough to defend it against all its enemies. ~Rabbi Sherwin Wine

Hi!!!!^^ Sorry about late replay... Hmmm,poet-to strong word for me-, I just sometime write poetry.
I hope you will have great day^^. [A lonely seagull flies the winds Majestic... soaring...gliding wings A single screech sounds from the sky Come fly with me... come here and fly
My spirit floats to be a part I feel the beating of its heart My soul, one with this bird of sea Now knows the meaning to fly free
I feel the winds caress my soul And soar the streams without a goal My being trembles of delight A treasure I received tonight
The seagulls flight of soaring high The gift of what it means to fly]
I am sorry that I haven't sent any comments, lately. I have been sick. I feel better now. I haven't forgotten you. Have a great day. Love, Kip XOXOXOXOXOXO
