Taddy Porter is an eclectic mix of four Southern boys from Oklahoma who grew up on a steady diet of classic rock and blues. Fueled by the powers of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Muddy Waters and numerous others the four boys of Taddy blend the classic styles of their youth with the sounds of their latter years. This blend has infused what many have called "the freshest sound to come out of Stillwater in years." Taddy began by meshing howling vocals and brawny beats to create a foundation for their sound. With the addition of ominous guitar riffs and toe tapping bass grooves they have grown to produce a nostalgic sound while keeping current with a modern look and feel. Tulsa Urban Weekly describes the boy's music as " good old-fashioned, amps-on-11, tap-yer-foot-and-buy-another-beer rock'n'roll with Stillwater-based quartet, Taddy Porter." This quote sums up the essence that is Taddy Porter. Taddy Porter's in your face sound was first started when Andy Brewer and Doug Jones ran into each other on a fateful day in early 2007. Jones had been drumming in numerous bands and Brewer had a guitar in tow as the two met late one night. After jamming for several hours the two decided to start what would become the epic sound that has molded out of the foursome to date. The two met Joe Selby, a titanically talented guitarist who's wailing leads ring in the ears of eager listeners for months. With three out of the four formed, the band turned to Doug's brother, Kevin to provide the bass grooves. Now that the band is in full swing they have been churning out tunes and chugging through Oklahoma and its surrounding states. Drawing influences from the likes of The Black Keys and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club the boys sound has come full circle in raw emotion and power. Think if The Yardbirds and The Who had a love child, the first breaths would sound like Taddy Porter...

Well I thoroughly played out the new songs, and I luv them. You guys are simply badass. But I need for to get them on my ipod, which would require them to be available for purchase/download. Otherwise, I'll be forced to geek out and go through a whole slew of complicated technical difficulties to try to copy them, and I don't wanna go there, I'd rather pay you for them. Oh, and by the by I'll see ya Wed. at the conservatory. Finally, hell yeah, geez...
