i record everything in my room, i print my own labels, i write my own songs, build my own guitars, i mine the ore for my guitar strings in my backyard and alloy the metals in a hearth that i built from deer skins and rabbit fur and rocks, i grow my own cd's on an old cd vine planted years ago by my great-great-grandfather after he left his war-torn homeland to come to this country, i make my own gitar picks by shellacquing moth wings and yes i make the shellac myself by boiling my own urine with some unlabeled chemicals i found deep in the basement, and since i couldn't afford a computer i hadda build this one using some scrap wood and electronics from a transistor radio what come outta a car drove by the goverment police up here years ago they never did make it back to the station and neither did their car
Hello Ted,
****** from The Cannery here. Regrettably I have some not so great
news. I was off on Sunday and Monday and when I got back to the office this
last Tuesday, I immediately heard about an "obnoxious" musician that played
here over the weekend.
I was a little shocked and set out to find out who the musician was. I
asked around and heard this guy was not very conducive to the usual
mellow environment around here. Apparently, it was so bad, he drove away a table of customers who were seated at the restaurant. For that, I will pay
for weeks to come as the restaurant just opened up.
A little further investigation revealed it was the evening slot musician from 5:30-8:30pm. Now I was not there and I won't accuse, but neither can I have you back to play again here at The Cannery or it will cost me my job.
So, I must cancel you on the upcoming slot I scheduled you for this
Sunday the 13th of June and any subsequent dates we may have scheduled.
I hope you'll accept my apologies as I know musicians and they are a
wild and crazy bunch of guys. I would hardly be the one to discipline a
musician who may have just been having some fun. But in this case, with the
strong comments that landed in my lap, I must take this action. I hope you
understand.

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
