UK based singer / composer / producer Matt Shaw records, in one of his
guises, as Tex La Homa, a name lifted from Canadian author Douglas
Coupland's 1991 novel "Generation X". Tex La Homa released their first
album in 2002 in the UK and Japan in slightly differing versions both
called "Dazzle Me With Transience". The LP blends Matt's
half-whispered vocals with polychrome distortion, heart-breakingly
pretty melodies, lo-fi guitars and massive, low-frequency electronics
to create a sequence of chilled- out, cinematic ballads.
The second Tex La Homa album, "If Just Today Were To Be My Entire
Life" was released on Talitres records for France and Europe and on
Hydrid Electric Records in the USA, Canada and the UK. To support to
this album, Tex La Homa toured in late 2003 and into 2004 taking in
the USA, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, England, Ireland and
Scotland..
As well as these albums, Tex La Homa have released five fanstatically
received EPs, two for Superglider Records, two for Moonpalace records, one for Acuarela,
and appeared on compilation albums for Melodic (UK), Painted Sky Discs
(Japan), Mind Expansion (USA),Foehn (Spain), Moonpalace Records (Spain) and Acuarela
(Spain).
The latest Tex La Homa release is a new album for & Records in Japan and Asia, and All is Number Records for the rest of the world
tiltled "Some Lost Bliss". Also released currently is a limited edition ep for Milk & Moon Recordings called "Apport"

Cutting out cups of coffee Switching off the late night news Putting the cat out two hours early It isn't any use I'm too low for zero Insomnia attacks Watching flies with my eyes till sunrise It's daylight when I hit the sack
Hi Matt It's Chris Had a listen to a CD that Si put together for me. I've had a play and have worked out one or 2. I really like what I've heard. I was wondering if you had an idea of the set so I could concentrate on those tunes or if you have a rough idea. Anyway, hope to hear from you soon. Stay Gold
