Sounds Like
Jonson's Volpone III.i.; or, Solopsism for Stoned Cross-Cuntry Runners.
I thought the ambiance of last weekend's home concert was a quotidian approximation of the vibe to be had at Charlotte's: soft light & drunk friends. Y'all should start an exclusive "Evening with The Agrarians" concert series.
and here i am, thinking that thee librarians was just one transitional phase among many that would lead you to agrariandom. 'tis good to hear you play something that has six years of lyrical mileage on it. the cows excel, especially the random screams and stomps.
Before Anderson's Georgian Midsummer Exodus, 2008 We Knaves have, focusedly, completed a solid album's half of new material for the follow-up to 2003's debut masterwork "Preserving the Mindshield."
These songs, tentatively formally titled, have been readied:
1) The Asian Millionaire 2) The Chauvinist Juggernaut 3) Waistline Radar 4) The Campfire Ethos 5) U.F.O. Story Pt. Two 6) Spoken Word Renaissance
Sessions to complete the album will commence following Anderson's Freedom Reclamation Act, 2008 (when it, indeed, arrives in the late Summer/Early Fall of this Year of Ourn Lord).
Excuse me! I believe in your most recent blog you neglected to mention the decadently FABULOUS band, It's all for Pascal. They are the second most underrated band in Baltimore.
When I read your reviews, this quote from Wm. Blake comes to mind: "As the caterpillar chooses the fairest leaves to lay her eggs on, so the priest lays his curse on the fairest joys. "
Aw, shucks. Thanks for the well-wishing! If, in my *ahem* meteoric rise out of obscurity (blerg), I forget the folks who've privileged me with their company in the past, it's not because I'm an asshole - it's the mental illness.
Listened to the whole Looksee/Agrarians CD and LOVE IT!! Was thinking of playing the instrumentals for the kids while they work....and I listened to the whole thing till it was done and wanted to hit repeat! Now you can't say I don't listen to them...
don't you think "what you got" on walls and bridges is the ultimate tragicomedy in song?
think of lennon on a coke binge backed up by some douchebag muzakians from the SNL band, toiling in the studio breaking only to sip on mint julips and mop the flop sweat from the floor lest it cause an unforeseen accident. i don't think it happened like that, but i like to imagine it did.
some surprise hits now on UNDYNAMIC's music page. including numbers from a certain sober live show we think you have yet to hear. does this ring a bell: "I WAS A DEAD MAN SO LONG AGO!"
