The Bella Fayes are song crafters, never satisfied with taking the easy way out, and constantly striving to stamp each song as their own. A rock solid rhythm section holds the band down while the guitars play off one another brilliantly, and let the singer sing his song. See, the Bella Fayes have something to say, and they want to make sure you can hear them loud & clear.
While the Fayes call Portland, Oregon their home, they have been playing up & down the west coast since forming in the fall of 2000. The band has just released its third album, Far From the Discos, and it provides no signs of stopping.
Live, the Bella Fayes give you everything you looking for: energy, daring, precision, and spot-on delivery. You can almost feel the band teetering on the edge some nights, ready to explode into a hailstorm of guitar strings and drum stands. What you see is a band that is well rehearsed, while at the same time, willing & able to take chances that others see as too daunting. What you hear is a band that loves to rock, and knows how to play it.

ok... maybe i was only seeing a cached copy of the bellafayes site before or something... but now i see the notice... this is depressing... first camaro hair, now you... i still remember the first show i saw. it was at dante's in 2000, you had only been a band for about 5 months, and i could not believe you had already written so many truly great songs and had such a great sound and energy.
thanks very very much guys for being so amazing...
you'll never know what a big positive part of my life you have been, and that's me talking with 0% jagermeister in my bloodstream. for awhile there i was a semi-transformed human who was almost genuinely cool, and i have all of you and your kick-ass rock magic to thank for that in no small part.
i hope you all keep writing and playing
i'm really sorry more kids didn't show up to that birthday party show last year, and thanks again a million or ten for doing it.
any unreleased studio tracks you might be willing to share at some point, even if they are rough mixes of tracks you decided not to finish? any rehearsal or writing session recordings?
Again, keep writing and playing, all of you, in some form or other, please.
Where is this rumor of a breakup coming from? I don't see anything from the band on this page to back it up. The latest news on bellafayes.com is that they are working on a new album. I didn't see any announcement of a breakup from the band's mailing list, either. Please, Lael or any of the other guys, come out of hiding and straighten this out.
The show tonight was amazing. I'm so glad I dragged myself out of my dark little cave for this one. Thanks for playing so many songs, from seldom-heard old favorites to brand new tunes. There was so much energy compressed into that tiny little stage, the whole thing seemed on the verge of exploding. You manage to juxtapose precision and danger in a way equalled by only the greatest rock bands.
