"Beta Cloud doesn’t pull any punches on Nephology—the meteorological imperative behind titles such as “Supercell” and “Cumulus” hardly connotes little fluffy clouds. Pace’s negatively-charged synths and billowing guitars foment enough atmospheric pressure that the sounds, and the listener, ultimately get swallowed into their yearning vortice. A storm of drones, indeed."

"a bit like Brian Eno in a bad mood, it's accomplished... a triumph for all involved."

"A new collection of soft sonorous ambience...Everything cloudy and grey, soft edged buzzing smoother into shimmering swells...very hypnotic and almost new age-y sounding (in a good way), the notes wreathed in reverb and sent rippling into the ether, very reminiscent of Ambient Eno for sure"

"a carefully conceived work which draws equally from electro-acoustic, noise and ambient music to create an involving soundworld. Beta Cloud has produced one of the best pieces of sound art this year, scoop this one up".

"An adventurous listen that should appeal to fans of dark ambient, drone, and more experimental electronic music".

"Pace's monkey splattering a canvas keyboard work mirrors this affect when taken along with Siratori's most anxious vocal performance. It makes for a satisfying whole."

"Beta Cloud is without a doubt something to keep up with!"

"Apart from a slightly more evident pulsating scansion and the hint of “melody” distinguishing the beginning of the disc, the customary stratified vapours of stretched out sounds that we expect from this sort of release are at hand and welcome, although characterized in this circumstance by a manifest acridness and a quantity of electronic trouble. A cross of psychedelic rock and less-than-ethereal, frequently dissonant trance at times bathed in distortion and feedback, sounding reasonably blissful nevertheless, at least for the bulk of the album - and especially in the conclusive track “Brief an Milena”, probably the best segment together with “Brief an Felice”. An attractive diversion from the loopmeister’s canons, while my first aural encounter with Beta Cloud can definitely be considered an encouraging one."

"...what is key is whether or not these stark staring twilight zones eschew credibility or reincarnate their subject. Trumpet is flanged beyond recognition and oddly shuffling blurbs are pitched deep in the distance, evincing the sound of emotional decadence, of encroaching madness, of psychonavigational metamorphosis—works for me
alright."

"Lull, aka Mick Harris, collaborates here with Beta Cloud, who a while back teamed up with Aidan Baker for a killer disc of dark buzzing dronemusic. But on Circadian Rhythm Disturbance, Harris and Beta Cloud team up for one 20 minute track of extreme dark ambience, loose barely there rhythms drift in and out occasionally, but this is all about the atmospheric low end, and it is LOW, a deep subterranean rumble that seems to swallow up all light, like the sound of some massive behemoth drifting slowly through the blackened deep, or some mysterious black shape drifting across the midnight sky, huge groaning drones and massive swells of rib cage rattling bass, smeared and blurred into a tidal sort of barely-rhythm, that subtly pulses and throbs, sucking the listener under, filling you ears with gorgeous soft black sound." aQuarius Records 08'
"this collaboration with Lull ranks right up there with his best work...The feeling that you are "there" is what makes this a compelling listening. As the journey continues, insistent percussion tones, which pan from speaker to speaker, sounding kind of like echoing footsteps, lead you along with an increasingly nightmarish backdrop...A sense of unreality, verging on madness is what the listener is left with: multiple spins in succession drive the point home rather convincingly. The repetitive and dreamlike nature of Circadian Rhythm Disturbance will do in your brain, so for sanity's sake, approach it in moderation."

I am now
recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These
cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment)
for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon
Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
