Somewhere in between ironic Rock n’ Roll arrogance, grooving guitar-riffs played fast as fuck und anthems of choruses, there’s a band playing a modern kind of Rock n’ Roll: THE BLEEDING QUEENS!
As you can tell from the band’s name, the four guys living in the north of Munich don’t always take themselves all too serious. Nevertheless, the music is based on serious topics and is of a serious background, as are the lyrics! So can these two characteristics be combined with a highly exalted show on stage? Yes they can! This band defines itself as follows: LONG LIVE THE CLICHÉ!
Musically this fourpiece combines pounding guitar-riffs in the tradition of PANTERA, METALLICA or IRON MAIDEN with aggressive and grooving breakdowns as we know them from bands like MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and AS I LAY DYING. When it comes to the melodies and choruses THE BLEEDING QUEENS tend into a slightly different direction: poppy, dramatic and emotional, as produced from the likes of THE USED, AVENGED SEVENFOLD or the old heroes such as LED ZEPPELIN. All in all these influences come together as a combination of Rock, Metal, Hardcore and Pop - the drawer says "Rock n’ Rollcore" and the guys feel perfectly alright in it! It’s not the plan to reinvent the cycle – the plan is to rock!
Existing for three years now, the bands have not only released three EPs ("Destroy / Rock n’ Roll" 2006, "Deathride To Hollywood Revenge" 2006, "City Murder Witness" 2007) but have also shared the stage with a countless number of bands such as THE USED (USA), RISE AGAINST (USA), CATARACT (CH), THE BLACKOUT ARGUMENT (GER), RPWL (GER), AIDEN (USA), BLACKMAIL (GER), THE BLACKOUT (GBR), MAROON (GER) or MC QUEEN (GBR)!
No matter if it’s a small youth-center or the packed ’Zenith’ in Munich (TASTE OF CHAOS 2007) with an audience of about 3500 – THE BLEEDING QUEENS always put up a great rockshow in between moshpits, sing-along-anthems and a large portion of humor!
