THE CLASS WAR KIDS PLAY UBER-CATCHY, MELODIC, POLITICALLY-CHARGED, SOCIALLY-CONSCIOUS, ACTIVIST POSI-PUNK-POP.
THE CLASS WAR KIDS DEAL IN SONGS OF ANGER AND SONGS OF JOY, SONGS OF DEFIANCE AND SONGS OF DISSENT. IT'S MOOD MUSIC FOR THE MOVEMENT AND THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE STRUGGLE. IT'S FOR THOSE ON THE BLOCKADES, THE BARRICADES, THE FRONT-LINES AND THE PICKET-LINES.
THE CLASS WAR KIDS - REFLECTION! RAGE! REBELLION!
"The Class War Kids go straight for the throat with their sophomore release, as each abrasive song rips into the next. Taking notes from Rancid, A Global Threat and Moral Crux, these Newfoundlanders play an energetic and conscious brand of street punk that drips as much passion and anger as defiance. The group prove their relevance by blasting out protest anthems like “The Vegan Avenger Ascends into Legend,” “Policeman” and the fist raising “Disinformation Age,” all of which are prime examples of the group’s politically motivated lyrics and infectiously gritty songwriting. The Class War Kids aren’t shy to point their finger, whichever one it may be, in the direction of greed, injustice and misogyny, revealing that the true problems in our system are often caused by those that run it. Reflection! Rage! Rebellion! is 14 tracks of devoted insubordination that carries its heart on one sleeve and conceals a Molotov cocktail in the other." (eXclaim magazine)
THE CLASS WAR KIDS: A STRONG PEOPLE NEED NO LEADER
"Who said that political punk has to be dark, serious and depressing? Oh wait – that was me? Well, I take it back. The Class War Kids come from Newfoundland with a highly energetic melodic hardcore sound that you can’t help but dance along to. The music makes the highly political lyrical content very easy to digest and understand. This is the perfect band to get young kids involved in politics and DIY punk in general. The CWK sound like early Good Riddance if they were raised on the AK Press catalogue. Highly recommended! (Talks Cheap Magazine)
