...... and to Geffen, Elektra, Reprise & Island - guys, we thank you for making our 70's shine !
Fuelled by a mutual love of 70's west coast LA music and Laurel Canyon singer/songwriters The Cohen Brothers deep love of 1970's jazz, blues and funky rythms surfaces on new self-funded CD “Moving On” finished in summer 2009.
Julian & Dave first played together 30 years ago & met up again in 2008 to rediscover the music that inspired them "back in the day" - and they very soon found new soul mates in Sean, Russ & Pete and recorded their debut album "Moving On"
Playing for the love of it - during 2009, festivals in Malvern, Worcester and gigs at The Assembly in Leamington with Nearly Dan introduced the bands music to a wider audience each month.
In November 2009 Russ decided to move on and concentrate on solo projects and we welcomed Pete Townsend into the band - a great player and also an author - check out "Three String Blues" on Amazon and at www.petetownsend.co.uk.

COX'S YARD IN STRATFORD-UPON-AVON SAY:
Superb Soul/Blues/Jazz/American fusion band. Top class musicians who really let rip with a great sound. A selection of covers & originals with vocalist Julian has a unique soul voice not disimilar to the legendary Stevie Winwood... & he also plays the keyboard !! Some definite shades of Traffic in there !
