I'd like to tell you a story about a group of folks go by the name The Culhanes. Now, The Culhanes....that's a name NO ONE would self-apply where I come from, but then there was a lot about The Culhanes that didn't make much sense to me. Maybe that's why I found their story so durned interesting.
They've played all around the Denver area in places like The Bluebird Theatre, The Skylark Lounge, Soiled Dove Underground, Three Kings Tavern and Bender’s Tavern. And they've shared the stage with country music acts like The Texas Sapphires, Jessie Dayton, Shurman, Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles, and The Railbenders.
They’ve also got their first CD comin’ out. “No Part of Nothin’”
Produced by John Macy.
They play country music, pure and simple. The hard stuff outta California, some of that West Texas weirdness, and a little bit of that more rock 'n' roll kinda thing. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. The Culhanes, takin' her easy for all us sinners.
